Gutka worth 50 lakh seized

The Venkatagiri police seized 21 bags of gutka packets worth Rs 50 lakh at Venkatagiri-Vallivedu crossroads on Thursday when some people were trying to transport them by a car. Cops took 7 people into custody and booked cases against them for selling the banned product.

Accused from Venkatagiri teamed up with some people belong to Tamil Nadu and Chittoor and were shifting material to villages. A Nissan car was also seized.
