Indigo Airways will be strengthening its ATR operations by introducing new flights from Rajamahendravaram Airport from January 9th, 2018. At present, Indigo is having as many as 1,000 flights and so far transported about 20 crore air passengers from its inception in the year 2006.

At present, Indigo is having as many as 1,000 flights and so far transported about 20 crore air passengers from its inception in the year 2006.

Disclosing the details at a press conference held at Shelton Hotel here on Thursday, Indigo chief commercial officer Sanjay Kumar has said that launching of four flights on the same day to the metros such as Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore is a pride to the company.

Every day two flights are operated to Hyderabad and one flight each to Chennai and Bangalore. Indigo is the only airline that connects Rajamahendravaram with direct flights to the three metros. Indigo through, its brand new ATR 72-600 aircrafts and 149 airbus A320 strong fleet, connects Rajamahendravaram to metors such as New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai via Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengalur.

Along with it, Indigo also connects Rajamahendravaram with Jaipur, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Tiruvananthapuram, Pune, Goa, Managalore, Singapore and Muscat. Sanjay Kumar further added, by December 2019, Indigo gets 21 ATRs to connect 15 two-tier, three-tier cities in the country. Indigo Corporate Communications Director Ajay Sahai Jasra and captain Dhruv Rebbapragada were present.
