Vijayawada: Silk FAB exhibition was inaugurated at private function hall here on Thursday. The (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles and National Handloom Development Corporation organised the event.

The participants from 11 states including government organisations, bodies, and handloom agencies participated in the exhibition by showcasing their products. he exhibition would remain opened from 11 am to 8 pm for fourteen days up January 3.

Various silk products like Gadwal, Pochampally, Dharmavaram (Andhra Pradesh), Mugga Silk (Assam), Tassar, Kantha, Madhubani prints (Bihar), Printed silk sarees, dress materials (Jammu & Kashmir), Kantha, Kosa silk (Jharkhand), Chintamani, Kasuti work, Karnataka silk (Karnataka), Chanderi, Maheswari (Madhya Pradesh), Paithani, Pune Sari (Maharashtra), Tanchoi, Jamdani, Jamwar (Banarasi), Baluchari, Kantha, Tangali (West Bengal) and Gadwal, Pochampally (Telangana) are available in the exhibition.

State Handlooms and Textiles commissioner Naresh, Additional director, handlooms, Srikanth Prabhakar, several officials and organisers were also present.
