TTD to restrict break darshan only to protocol VIPs
In view of heavy pilgrim rush anticipated to Tirumala for Srivari Darshan following half-yearly holidays and new year, TTD has resolved to restrict VIP break darshan to only to Protocol VIPs from December 23.
Tirumala: In view of heavy pilgrim rush anticipated to Tirumala for Srivari Darshan following half-yearly holidays and new year, TTD has resolved to restrict VIP break darshan to only to Protocol VIPs from December 23.
The VIP recommendation letters will not be entertained from December 22 onwards in Tirumala. In addition to the week-end pilgrim rush, important occasions like Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Dwadasi and New Year days have also lined up. The management has taken this decision in the larger interests of common pilgrims.
The cancellation of break darshan on references continues until further decision by the management. It may be mentioned here that during peak summer holidays, TTD had restricted VIP break darshan to protocol VIPs for 40 days to facilitate more darshan time to common pilgrims. The decision to revive VIP break darshan will be reviewed by TTD in the first week of January 2018.
Laddu prices increased TTD has increased the Srivari Prasadam Laddu rates from Thursday (Dece 21). These hiked prices are applicable for laddus sold on recommendation letters.
At present small laddu Rs 50, big laddu Rs 200, Vada Rs 100. Earlier rates were small laddu Rs 25, big laddu Rs 100,vada Rs 25. These prices are applicable for sales in extra laddu counter only.
