Ganit Utsav celebrated at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan
‘Ganit Utsav’ was celebrated at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan to salute the great Mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar to mark his 130th birth anniversary on Friday.
Visakhapatnam: ‘Ganit Utsav’ was celebrated at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan to salute the great Mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar to mark his 130th birth anniversary on Friday.
Children took part in various activities, including Math Buddy Test, Math Models, Origami, Math Relay. Skillful 3-D and 4-D models depicting math concepts were displayed. Origami models of penguin and peacock mesmerised the audience. An exclusive song on mathematical concepts was rendered by the school choir.
Founder Vice-Chancellor Dravidian University PV Arunachalam, Department of Math Education ,Kyungnam University, Korea Jong Kyu Kim, Scientist of NSTL RV Kiran Kumar, Principal Ramanath Secondary School of NSTL, and CV Narasimham graced the occasion.
RV Kiran Kumar presented a PowerPoint presentation on ‘Pi’ value and area of circle and its derivation. CV Narasimham encouraged the students to work on mathematics as it includes every aspect of life. The winning students were given prizes by the guests on the occasion.
Many parents and visitors appreciated the exhibits displayed by the nimble hands. Director of the school Ch Vasu Prakash congratulated the students.
