People asked to join Swachh Kurnool

Kurnool: Kurnool Municipal Corporation Commissioner CB Harinath Reddy called upon people to join hands in transforming Kurnool to Swachh Kurnool. “First we should keep our surroundings neat and clean and later we have to educate others about transforming Kurnool to Swachh Kurnool,” he said. He was reiterating these words during a meeting organised on Swachh Sarvekshan 2018 at Municipal Corporation on Friday.

The managements of government, private schools and colleges participated in the meeting. Addressing the meeting the Commissioner said that there is dire need to transform Kurnool to Swachh Kurnool to which he sought the cooperation of the schools and college management staff. He said there are several aspects to maintain cleanliness. Kurnool was also listed in Swachh Sarvekshan 2018, he stated.

He asked the schools and college management staff to educate their students about Swachh Sarvekshan. He said to download the Pura Seva App through which taxes pertaining to house; water and other could be paid.

With the help of this App a common person could bring the problems of their area to the notice of the corporation officials, he added. Additional Commissioner Ramana Reddy, MEO Athaullah, the correspondents, lecturers and head masters of the private schools and colleges attended the meeting.
