MLAs distribute Christmas kits
Chandranna Christmas Kanuka programme was conducted in various places in West Godavari district on Saturday. Chintalapudi and Narsapuram MLAs distributed Chandranna Christmas Kanuka kits to the people at Kamavarapukota and Narsapuram.

In Kamavarapukota, Chintalapudi MLA Peethala Sujata distributed the kits to the people at Mandal Parishad Office.
Speaking on the occasion, the former minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu introduced the gifts on the festival seasons to all religions with a view that all people could celebrate the festival. Mandal Parishad president Maddipati Subbalakshmi, tahsildar K Narasimharaju and others participated in the programme.
In Narasapuram, MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu distributed Chandranna Christmas kanuka kits to Christians having white ration cards at Station Pet area.
MLA said that earlier the government had distributed Ramzan Tofa to Muslims and now it has decided to distribute the kits to Christmas. During Sankranti, Sankranti Kanuka would be distributed next month, he added. Municipal Chairperson Pasupuleti Ratnamala and others participated in the programme. The MLA distributed Christmas gift kits at Kotta Navarasapuram and Vemuladeevi villages.
In Eluru, former Deputy Mayor and Corporator Chode Venkataratnam distributed the Christmas Kanuka kits to the Christians in the 16th division. The Ration Dealers Association president R Ranga Rao and others participated in the programme.
