People looking for alternative rule

Tirupati: The people were not at all happy with the anti-people policies of both Central and State governments and they are looking for a good alternative, observed CPM national executive member V Srinivasa Rao.

Speaking at a public meeting held regarding party’s 12th district meeting in Madanapalle on Saturday, he said the demonetisation is a big conspiracy aimed at making black money into white. He alleged the Prime Minister was contributing at his level in making people like Ambanis to become No 1 in Asia.

While rich were becoming more rich, poor becoming utter poor, he said and added unemployment, poverty, suicides of farmers were increasing day-by-day. CPM state secretary P Madhu said both the governments have not fulfilled any of their election promises.

Modi has hit hard on the poor with GST and the attacks on minorities in the name of Gorakshak Dal were increasing, he said. The governments were not in a position of listening into the problems of the farmers, he added.
