RTC offers package to nine temples

Rajamahendravaram: APSRTC East Godavari region is operating special buses to nine Janardhana Swamy temples situated on the banks of River Godavari during this auspicious Dhanurmasam, under Nava Janardhana Parijatam (NJP) package tour to Vaishnavite temples.

RTC introduced the package tour a decade ago in the district which is getting evoking a good response from the people. According to Rajamahendravaram depot manager T Peddiraju, the buses start in the early hours and return to the respective depots at about 8 pm.

As part of the spiritual tour package, RTC takes the pilgrims to Janardhana Swamy temples located in Dowleswaram, Madiki, Alamur, Jonnada, Korumilli, Machara, Kapileswarapuram, Mandapeta and Kotipalli villages. The fare is Rs 250 per head and RTC is ready to operate any number of buses to nine

Janardhana Swamy temples as per the demand. RTC is also offering another spiritual tour package during celestial Karthika Masam every year under Pancharama Kshetra Darshini to Shaivite temples.

Under this package, RTC takes the pilgrims to Amareswara Swamy temple (Amaravati), Someswara Swamy temple (Bhimavaram), Ksheera Ramalingswara Swamy temple (Palacole), Bhimeswara Swamy temple (Draksharama) and Chalukya Kumara Bhimeswara Swamy temple (Samalkot). He appealed to the people to avail this opportunity to visit Janardhana Swamy temples to get blessings from Lord.
