AP City ready for Christmas celebrations
The city has geared up for the Christmas celebrations on Monday. All churches in the city are colourfully decorated and illuminated with different types of lights to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Semi Christmas celebrations have been already continuing in the city for the past few days.Â

All churches in the city are colourfully decorated and illuminated with different types of lights to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. Semi Christmas celebrations have been already continuing in the city for the past few days.
RCM Church, Baptist Church in Old City, other churches in Gunadala, Kreesturajapuram, Pejjonipeta, Patamata, Krishna Lanka, Ajit Singh Nagar, Kandrika and other parts of the city were decorated with lights and arrangements were made for special prayers on Sunday night.
Festive mood has already gripped the Christian families as only one-day is left for the festival. Demand for cakes, candles, balloons, chocolates and food items increased in the city.
A trader near Navarang hall said the demand for cakes is increasing for the last few years as more people are cutting cakes to celebrate joyful events. Cakes in more than 10 sizes made of different flavours and colours are sold across the city to mark the Christmas. Textile traders have brought variety of stocks as the festival season will continue till Sankranthi.
