Lucky escape for RTC passengers as bus hits truck
: Nearly 30 RTC bus passengers luckily escaped without injuries when a road accident occurred near Anasagaram on the outskirts of Nandigama when a speeding RTC bus rammed a truck coming in the opposite direction on the national highway.
Vijayawada: Nearly 30 RTC bus passengers luckily escaped without injuries when a road accident occurred near Anasagaram on the outskirts of Nandigama when a speeding RTC bus rammed a truck coming in the opposite direction on the national highway.
The bus driver sustained minor injuries and the passengers escaped unhurt. According to Nandigama police, RTC bus (AP 29 Z 2575) was heading from Hyderabad to Vijayawada on the national highway on Sunday morning. A truck was coming in the opposite direction to reach a cold storage near Anasagaram village.
The truck was coming on the wrong route on the national highway and the RTC bus hit the truck. Consequently, the front portion of the bus was damaged.
Luckily, nearly 30 passengers escaped without injuries in the accident, said the police, who have registered a case and took up investigation.
