National Rose Show, which has attracted more than one lakh people in three days in Swarajya Maidan will be extended till December 27. Rose Society of Andhra Pradesh in association with Harita Priya Plant Lovers’ Society and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation is hosting the national rose show from December 23.

The organisers have earlier announced to conclude the show on December 25. But, they have extended up to December 27 due to the visit of Savita Kovind, the wife of President of India Ram Nath Kovind, on December 27.

On the second day, Sunday more than 50,000 people visited the rose show and on the third day, Monday not less than 30,000 attended the show till evening.

The visitors were thrilled to see hundreds of varieties of plants and trees. Youngsters were seen busy taking selfies standing close to the beautiful plants and flowers in the exhibition.

Irrespective of age and sex, nature’s lovers are joyfully and curiously watching the beautiful plants and mesmerised at the awesome beauty and colours. Thousands of small trees and plants were brought from Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India for the mega expo. More than 120 stalls were set up in the exhibition.

Tree lovers are curiously inquiring about the fertilisers to be used for speedy growth of plants and pests to be used for protection of beautiful plants. Potted flower plants, cactus, fruit and vegetable plants, Bonsai plants, miniature garden, cut flowers and medicinal plants are attracting the visitors.

Besides, wall garden was also displayed to the visitors. Small plastic pots are arranged on the walls to grow the beautiful plants along the walls. Specially designed plastic tree pots were available in the exhibition. Many varieties of rose plants are special attraction in the rose show.

One of the organisers said the rose show has been extended up to December 27 as wife of President of India Savita Kovind will be visiting the rose exhibition on December 27.President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, is attending important programme in Acharya Nagarjuna University on December 27.
