Burglar arrested
Poduru police arrested a burglar on Tuesday at Chinchinada road in Digamarru village in Poduru mandal. Speaking to media at Poduru police station, Sub Inspector Koppisetty Ramakrishna said that Achanta Ramakrishna,64, a habitual criminal of Appannapalli in East Godavari has involved in various burglaries over few months.

On the directions of Palacole Rural CI K Rajini Kumar, a police team started checks on the main roads. When accused Ramakrishna was wandering on the Chinchinada road in Digamararu village, police have taken him into custody and interrogated him.
He involved in burglaries at Poduru, Penugonda and Palacole mandals and decamped with a big booty. The SI said they seized 20 sovereigns of ornaments and one kg silver articles from the accused. He was produced in Palacole court, he added.
