Pomp and gaiety mark X-mas celebrations

Tirupati: Large number of Christians offered prayers and celebrated Christmas with pomp and religious gaiety in the city on Monday. Religious discourses were held at various churches on the occasion. Thousands attended the midnight prayers on Sunday night.

The major churches like West Church, Jaganmatha Church and churches at other places were crowded with devotees. They were decorated with Christmas trees and attractive lighting.

Christians greeted each other on the occasion and people from other religions also joined them and exchanged pleasantries. People of the community have also decorated their houses with stars and Christmas trees.
