Srinivasa Ramanujan’s contributions recalled
SSS Degree College in Bobbili has celebrated National Mathematics Day in a grand manner on Saturday. The orators have recalled contributions of wellknown mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and advised the students to follow his ideals to reach top position.
Bobbili(Vizianagaram): SSS Degree College in Bobbili has celebrated National Mathematics Day in a grand manner on Saturday. The orators have recalled contributions of wellknown mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan and advised the students to follow his ideals to reach top position.
Prof K Chandra Mouli of Andhra University said that Ramanujan had proved that poverty was not a hurdle to reach higher positions and he worked hard to reach top position in his life. He was selected member of British Royal Society with his extraordinary intelligence.
Though he was on bed with ill health, he calculated numerals and explained various riddles with easy methods. Students should take inspiration from such personalities, he said. College founder R Rama Murthy and principal R Mohan Rao participated in the programme.
