Kadapa: A married woman, K Amulya (26), committed suicide in Jammalamadugu town on Tuesday, by hanging unable to bear harassment of husband and mother-in-law for additional dowry.
Amulya, a resident of Vaggampalle village in Pamuru mandal of Prakasam district had married K Obul Reddy of Jangalapalle village in Cherlopalle mandal of Kadapa district five years ago.
Obul Reddy has been running a small business in Jammalamadugu town. He thrashed Amulya for a petty reason on Monday night. The police registered a case.
