5 devotees killed, 11 injured as RTC bus collides with tempo

In a tragic road accident, three women among five people have been killed and 11 others were severely injured when a four-wheeler Tempo Traveller collided with an RTC bus at KG Satram village of Bangarupalem mandal in Chittoor district on Wednesday. According to the police, the RTC bus belonged to Karnataka state. The tempo was ferrying people from Maharashtra to Tirumala.Â

According to the police, the RTC bus belonged to Karnataka state. The tempo was ferrying people from Maharashtra to Tirumala.
The police said that the bus was proceeding from Tirupati to Mysore. During the time of the accident, there were 18 people in the tempo. The victims were rushed to Chittoor government hospital. A case has been registered under negligent driving and the police launched the investigation.
