Telangana top cop launches International sailing contest
DGP, Railways and Road Safety of Telangana state, T Krishna Prasad, formally launched International Sailing Competitions at Krishnapatnam Port on Wednesday. 160 participants from 11 countries had arrived for participating in the event.

He appreciated efforts for setting up Navayuga Sailing Academy for the needs of the sailors. Port CEO Anil Yendluri said sailing would give psychological relief besides providing concentration. He said they would be arranging training centre for the sport shortly for encouraging the local talent, who wish to participate in competitions.
He said sailors from Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Sweden, UAE, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, Canada, Ireland, and India are participating. Director of Ports K Praveen Kumar, DSDO Ramanaiah, and senior officials from the Customs and Excise department were present.
