VOIP exchanges used by ISI busted in Vijayawada
As many as seven people were arrested and unearthed three illegal VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) exchanges in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
Vijayawada: As many as seven people were arrested and unearthed three illegal VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) exchanges in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
According to reports, the police seized three 'sim boxes' which have more than 230 sim cards, laptops, desktop computers.
The police said that the telephone services are being exploited by Pakistan intelligence officials by making calls to security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir to get sensitive information. The accused make calls in guise of Army officials.
Illegal VOIP exchanges were made in Gunadala in Vijayawada earlier this month. The exchanges enable callers who want to call Indian numbers by hiding their identity. Not only just hide the number, the exchange also reflect the contact number of India.
