3 killed in bus-tempo collision

Three women pilgrims were killed, and eight others suffered injuries in a head-on collision between Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus and a tempo at KG Satram village of Bangarupalem mandal in Chittoor district on Wednesday night. The deceased and injured belong to Chhattisgarh state.
Tirupati: Three women pilgrims were killed, and eight others suffered injuries in a head-on collision between Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus and a tempo at KG Satram village of Bangarupalem mandal in Chittoor district on Wednesday night. The deceased and injured belong to Chhattisgarh state.
The accident took place while they were heading to Mysore in KSRTC bus after having Lord’s darshan in Tirumala. Three of the injured were shifted to Bangarupalem hospital and the remaining five to district headquarters hospital in Chittoor. All of them were discharged on Thursday afternoon. The names of the deceased are Pushpa Sahu (48), Munisa Sahu (23) and Swathi Sahu (19).
