Vijayawada: Rayalaseema Parirakshna Samithi president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here in the capital city.

Following the meeting, Byreddy spoke to media persons saying that he came to meet the Chief Minister to discuss over the irrigation projects that the state government had taken up in Rayalaseema region.

Byreddy said that he urged the AP Chief Minister to hasten the construction of the irrigation projects. When asked about the MLC elections, he added saying that the Chief Minister has invited him to join the TDP. The Congress leader said that he would soon take a decision after consulting with his supporters.

It may be recalled that Byreddy had stirred up an agitation demanding separate Rayalaseema state when the united Andhra Pradesh got divided paving for Telangana.
