Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu addressed a press meet in Amaravati on Friday where he spoke at length about the Janmabhoomi programme.

Terming it a programme aimed to reach to the people and create awareness about the government initiatives, he said that Janmabhoomi was inspired by programmes of few countries.

The Chief Minister stated that the noble concept has motivated some of the NRIs who have contributed towards the development of the state.

Chandrababu announced that the state government would celebrate Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru from January 2 to 11.

He went on to instil the programme’s motivation into the public’s mind as he questioned as to how the public is contributing towards the society.

The Chief Minister stated that apart from demanding the government of various needs and blaming it when they are not done, the public should also lend a hand towards the development of the society.

Chandrababu said that the government is performing a lot of tasks from laying roads to arranging street lights and building houses and toilets but the public should also contribute in some form.
