Mounika winner of traditional women contest
Srikakulam MLA G Laxmidevi and former Union Minister and Congress party senior leader K Kruparani underscored the importance of tradition and culture. They participated in the traditional fancy dress competitions conducted at the Government Degree College for Women here on Thursday.
Srikakulam: Srikakulam MLA G Laxmidevi and former Union Minister and Congress party senior leader K Kruparani underscored the importance of tradition and culture. They participated in the traditional fancy dress competitions conducted at the Government Degree College for Women here on Thursday.
On the occasion, degree students from various colleges in the city took part in the competition. Dialect, pronunciation of language and walking in sarees were observed by the judges and selected one among them as the traditional woman of Srikakulam ( Srikakulam Sampradaya Mahila).
S Mounika came first in the competition followed by P Rohini and M Menaka in the second and third positions. YSRCP general secretary and former municipal chairperson of Srikakulam M V Padmavathi was also present.
