As many as nine persons, including seven women, received burn injuries as flames from a gas cylinder engulfed them in Ethakota village of Ravulapalem mandal on Thursday. All the injured were shifted to government head-quarters hospital in Rajamahendravaram. 

Rajamahendravaram: As many as nine persons, including seven women, received burn injuries as flames from a gas cylinder engulfed them in Ethakota village of Ravulapalem mandal on Thursday. All the injured were shifted to government head-quarters hospital in Rajamahendravaram.

According to sources, the gas was leaked from a cylinder when a housewife Moturi Lakshmi was trying to replace the empty cylinder in her house. Because of gas leakage, she kept the cylinder in an open place and some of her neighbourers came to help to replace the cylinder.

Suddenly, flames came out from the cylinder and they received burns. The injured are identified as PV Krishna Rao, P Satyavathi.
