Proddatur rural police have arrested 4 inter-district thieves and recovered Rs 16 lakh worth 501 grams of gold ornaments, half-a-gram silver, a lap top, 2 bikes and 2 mobiles from them.
Kadapa: Proddatur rural police have arrested 4 inter-district thieves and recovered Rs 16 lakh worth 501 grams of gold ornaments, half-a-gram silver, a lap top, 2 bikes and 2 mobiles from them. The accused were identified as bike mechanics Mohammod Rafi and Abdul Subhan of Jillela village in Duvvur mandal.
M Srinivasulu, an auto-rickshaw driver of Vajpayee Nagar in Proddatur town, K Venkata Siva, a gold smith belongs to Dorasanipalle village in Proddatur mandal. Speaking to the media here on Friday, Proddatur DSP B Srinivasulu said that the accused are involved in 19 robbery cases.
The DSP stated that the gang entered the house of K Veeramohan Reddy at Pedda Guruvalur village in Chapadu mandal and decamped with gold and silver. The victim lodged a complaint in Chapadu police station.
