Says the Padayatra is aimed at exerting pressure on the Central government to complete the national project
as per schedule by 2018


Speaking to media at a private hotel here on Friday, Raghuveera Reddy said the padayatra was aimed to mountpressure on Central government to complete the national project as per schedule in 2018. Congress party demanding the Central government bear entire expenditure of project to maintain quality in the construction andcomplete the project as assured, he added.

The APCC chief said Puducherry Chief Minister Narayana Swamy will flagoff the yatra on January 7 in Dowleswaram and one-day hunger strike will also be observed on January 9. On January 10, Opposition Leader in Parliament MallikarjunaKhargewill participate in the public meeting in Polavaram, he added.

He alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was colluded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana Chief Minister KChandrasekhar Rao in this regard and mortgaging the interests of state to Centre. Congress party cannot be a mere spectator if the Central government as well as state government fails to completethe multipurpose project, he said.
Former Union minister MM Pallam Raju, district unit president PanthamNanaji and former MLCGidugu Rudra Raju were present.
