Tirupati: Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu wants to develop Tirupati as pilgrim city. He participated in a meeting here on Friday in which Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) officials have explained about draft master plan to Minister.

After the meeting, speaking to the media, the Minister said officials have prepared the draft master plan for temple city after consulting with the people of Tirupati, Chandragiri, Nagari, and Srikalahasti constituencies. He informed that the TUDA master plan will be announced by the officials in the first week of January 2018.

The master plan was prepared with an aim to provide livelihood for 10 lakh people in pilgrim city, he added. Earlier, TUDA Vice-Chairman Ch Hari Kiran has explained the details of master plan through powerpoint presentation. Tirupati MLA Suguna, TUDA Chairman Narasimha Yadav and other officials were present.
