Hyderabad: A low pressure area is likely to form over the south-east Bay of Bengal around night of January 1, 2018, the Met department bulletin said on Friday.

The trough at the mean sea level over the south Andaman Sea and its neighbourhood now lies over the sea with an upper air cyclonic circulation aloft extending up to 3.1 km above the mean sea level.

Meanwhile, the night temperatures fell appreciably ranging from 2.1 to 4 degrees Celsius at one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, while there was no large change in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday. The lowest minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bapatla and Arogyavaram.

The other night temperatures recorded in the State were: Anantapur 14, Kalingapatnam, Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram, Kadapa & Nandyal 15 each, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam Airport & Kurnool 16 each, Narsapur & Tuni 17 each, Kavali, Machilipatnam & Tirupati 18 each, Kakinada & Ongole 19 each, Nellore & Visakhapatnam 20 each.
