A retired government teacher killed his son at NavyaNagar on Bobbili Road in Rajam town late on Thursday night. According to Palakonda DSP G Swaroopa Rani and Rajam  CI, Veera Kumar, the deceased was identified as K Srikantha Naidu (30).

His father and the accused K Seetham Naidu is a retired teacher and having land properties in Rajam. Recently, he wanted to sell the lands to perform his daughter’s marriage who is sister of the deceased. She is working as software engineer in Bengaluru. Deceased Srikanth studied MCA and established a consultancy in Hyderabad.

Srikanth came to Rajam three days ago on the request of his father to sell the lands. A dispute arose between them with regard to the sale. Seetham Naidu wanted to sell the land to his sister’s family for which his son, Srikanth objected and demanded his father to sell it to his friend’s family.

The dispute arose among the father and son and father developed grudge against his son. In this back drop, father decided to kill his son. On Thursday night when Srikanth was sleeping on the floor,Seetham Naidu chopped off his head with a sword.

With the sudden attack, Srikanth cried loudly and his mother Sarojini raised an alarm for help. In the meanwhile, two youth who are residing in a rented portion on the first floor of the house alerted locals. On information, police rushed to spot and arrested the accused.

“We have collected details over the incident from mother of the deceased, youth residing in rented portion and locals and motive established,” Palakonda DSP told The Hans India.
