Dokka ManikyaVara Prasad slams Jagan for taking up Padayatra

Amaravati: TDP leader Dokka ManikyaVara Prasad slammed YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for taking up padayatras only for personal political gains. He said that Jagan was on a wrong foot in taking the prajasankalpa yatra in the state.

Addressing a press conference at the TDP state party office in Guntur on Saturday, the Government Whip in the Legislative Council, said that Jagan did a blunder by not contesting in the Kurnool MLC by elections.

Dokka blamed Jagan that the latter was doing the padayatra for his political survival but not for the welfare and benefit of common man in the State.

Jagan had been delivering impracticable promises during his political speeches, he said.
The YSRCP leaders and Jagan were intentionally creating obstacles in each and every developmental activity in the State and for this they would have to pay in the coming general elections. He said, adding that at least now Jagan should change his attitude and start playing constructive opposition role in the Assembly.

He said, under the able leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the state was developing in a rapid manner and no one could stop this development. The development and welfare schemes being implemented by the TDP government would ensure that the TDP would retain power in the 2019 elections, he asserted.
