During his 14.3-kilometre Padayatra for the day, he interacted with devotees of Lord Chintharla Mallikarjuna Swami of Mallaiah Konda. Several devotees expressed concern over mining being carried out at Mallaiah Konda in search of treasure. They said it should be stopped in view of the sanctity of the hill top. They asked Jagan to develop Mahendra Marri and Mallaiah Konda as tourist destinations.

The villagers also presented a bottle of natural honey to YS Jagan. A woman Sumangali, one of the victims of Kesava Reddy scam, met the Leader of Opposition and broke down while narrating her hardship because of the scam.
