The district administration selected as many as 447 farmers from various mandals in the district for a nine-day training classes to be held in Guntur from December 31 to January 8. All the selected farmers will be going in 11 special buses, which were flagged off by Collector Pravin Kumar, here on Saturday. 

Visakhapatnam: The district administration selected as many as 447 farmers from various mandals in the district for a nine-day training classes to be held in Guntur from December 31 to January 8. All the selected farmers will be going in 11 special buses, which were flagged off by Collector Pravin Kumar, here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the farmers would be imparted training in natural farming. There is no need of large capital investment for natural farming and natural resources can be utilised for cultivation.

The farmers would be trained on the concept of ‘Zero Budget Natural Farming’. The trained farmers should become as a resource person for the remaining farmers in the district.
The training would be conducted under the supervision of natural farming experts Subhash Palekar and Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Department Adviser T Vijay Kumar, the Collector said.
