Tension prevails as YSRCP protests against removal of flexis
The YSRCP leaders and workers staged a protest at the municipal office here on Saturday in protest against the removal of the flexis erected by their party in the town. The YSRCP workers and leaders led by party coordinator Grandhi Srinivasa Rao went in a rally to the municipal office on Saturday morning.Â

They met Commissioner Naga Narasimha Rao and alleged that the Commissioner was favouring the ruling party. At one stage they started arguing with the Commissioner. The Commissioner informed them that as Janmabhoomi programme would soon start in the town, the flexis were removed. He reiterated that he had no connection with any party.
The police reached the municipal office and tried to pacify the workers and leaders of YSRCP. At this juncture, a scuffle took place between the police and YSRCP workers. Subsequently, the police pacified the YSRCP workers and they called off their protest.
