1. 1 lakh pilgrims had Vaikuntha Dwara darshan on Saturday
2. Around 75,000 had darshan on Friday
3. Sarva Darshan to commence at 2.30 am on January 1

Tirumala Jeo KS Sreenivasa Raju said that the TTD had provided all arrangements.to the best possible extent for smooth functioning and darshan of Lord Venkateshwara to all the pilgrims.

Speaking to the media in his camp office in Gokulam on Saturday, the JEO said elaborate arrangements were made by TTD in terms of Annaprasadam, water supply etc. He said this year an additional 40 thousand pilgrims than the average pilgrim rush seen every year had gathered for Ekadasi dwara darshan.

The queuesbeelined for 4km while another 2km was seen on the outer ring road. Usually every year, Tirumala witnesses heavy year end rush in December but this year it was coupled with VaikunthaEkadasi and Dwadasi", he added.

Elaborating further, the JEO said on Ekadasi 74,012 had darshan while on Dwadawsi, till 7pm on Saturday, about 75,658 had darshan, taking the total to almost 1.50lakh in two days. With few more hours left for VaikunthaDwaram to be closed about 20,000 more pilgrimswould be able to have VaikunthaDwaraDarshan. This would be a record sort of darshan during Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi days.

Informing that the TTD’s priority has always been the common pilgrims, he said all the departments had rendered excellent services to the pilgrims in spite of the unexpected surge in pilgrims.On behalf of TTD, he thanked Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty and his team for managing the massive pilgrim crowd, especially in the outer ring road.

On New Year, the JEO said it would be a normal week day just like every Monday with no special celebrations. After the usual Dhanurmasa Kainkaryams which commence with Tiruppavai by 2am on Monday, the Sarva Darshan to common pilgrims would be opened between 2.30am and5:30am. After Naivedyam break, the VIP break, limited only to protocol VIPs, would commence by 6am. And again the Sarva Darshan would continue without any break. The TTD had cancelled divyadarshan tokens, all arjithasevas till January 1", he informed.
