All set for Janma Bhoomi, Maa Vooru from today

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has made elaborate arrangements for conducting ‘JanmaBhoomi-MaaVooru’ programme from Tuesday in the 59 divisions of the city under the three Assembly constituency limits. The first meeting of the ‘JanmaBhoomi-MaaVooru’ will be organised near the mosque street in the 27thdivision in Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada West Assembly constituency limits from 10 am to 12 noon.

The second meeting will be held at KandukuruKalyana mandapam in the 42nd municipal division in the city from 10 am to 12 noon. Arrangements have been made to collect the applications from the people on local problems.

Thousands of people in Vijayawada city appealed to the State government for sanctioning houses under PMAY scheme, ration cards, regularisation of house-site pattas, scholarships to the students and funds for development of infrastructure facilities in various parts of the city. Earlier, the TDP conducted JanmaBhoomion four occasions and now,it will be organised for the fifth time from January 2 to 11.

Similarly, pensions and ration cards will be distributed to the beneficiaries and officials will explain the welfare schemes of the Government to the people on the occasion. Earlier, Commissioner J Nivas and other officials have inquired about the arrangements.

MLAs of the three Assembly constituencies, city mayor, officials of various Government departments, corporators, division leaders of parties, Opposition parties and large number of people will participate in the ‘JanmaBhoomi-MaaVooru’ programme in the city.
