New Year turns tragic for five in Kadapa

Five persons were killed in a road accident in the wee hours of Monday. According to the details, the mishap took place at Indiranagar in Pendlimarri mandal of Kadapa district.

The victims, who were warming their bodies by a fire, were mowed down by an over speeding car.

The car driver is learned to have been under the influence of alcohol during the accident.

He is said to have lost control over the vehicle and rammed into them.

All of them including the car driver succumbed to their injuries and died on the spot.

A case has been registered and police are investigating.
