Woman dies after hit by motorist
A woman died on the spot when a motorist hit her while crossing the road. The incident took place at Mantralayam on Monday evening. According to Mantralayam Circle Inspector D Ramu, the deceased woman was identified as MangaliRamanamma.

She was returning to her house after attending agriculture labour.While she was crossing the road, a motorist Ramu and Anil riding pillion, hit Ramanamma and she died on the spot. `We were informed about the accident. We went to the spot and shifted the body to Yemmiganoor General Hospital for post mortem,’ the CI said.
We have taken the two persons into custody and a case has been filed basing on the complaint lodged by the deceased relative. They would be produced in the court for further action, added the Circle InspectorRamu.
