Kakinada: “The proposed budget of Andhra Pradesh will be a people-oriented one and we are giving priority to the people’s needs,” said Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

While speaking to the media at Tuni on Monday night, the Minister said that the state budget would be presented during March and a special meeting would be conducted to elicit experts’ opinions, views of ministers and officials on the budget.

He further said that necessary funds would be allotted for public grievances reported through the 1100 grievance cell in the budget. Yanamala expressed satisfaction in the utilization of available resources during the year 2017-18 and said that necessary allocations have been made for welfare and developmental works despite financial constraints.

The Minister said that good results were seen in the agriculture and irrigation sector and the state was leading in providing employment to youth through the industrial development.

Speaking on the New Year, the Minister conveyed his wishes to the people of the state for better prosperity in all walks of life. A large number of people including people’s representatives and the officials conveyed New Year greetings to Yanamala.
