Rajamahendravaram: Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai has said that the government has prioritised the resolution of public grievances in the ‘Janmabhoomi Maa Vuru’ programme.

Participating on the first day of the programme at the 7th division here on Tuesday, she said that government would direct the issues raised at the programme to the Chief Minister's dashboard. This move would enable the CM’s to supervise the programme from time to time.

Development works worth Rs 1.13 crore were completed in the division and the longstanding issue of drinking problem was also solved. “The Municipal Corporation was ready to sanction any number of toilets in the city as Rajamahendravarm has been declared an ODF city with its corporation initiating steps to make it a clean and green city,” she added.

Urban MLA Dr A Satyanarayana, said various development works were executed in the city in three-and-a-half years in comparison with last ten years. “The ‘Pradhanac Mantri Housing For All’ programme is a boon to the people. Pensions and houses would be sanctioned to the eligible beneficiaries,” he said.

Pradhana Mantri Bheema Padhakam and Chandranna Bheema Padhakam are said to be beneficial among people for which Aadhaar card was mandatory to claim the benefits from the government.

Corporation Commissioner V Vijayarama Raju said the details of beneficiaries must be verified with their Aadhaar cards before sanctioning welfare schemes. The

state and Central governments sanctioned an amount of Rs 2.5 lakh for construction of houses in 100 yards of site. This scheme can be utilised by any number of people. “As many as 18,000 people are eligible for the housing scheme in the city and all of them would get houses shortly,” he concluded. Corporator K Vijaya Sekhar and others were present at the event.
