Visakhapatnam: Andhra University is hosting the South Zone Inter-University Cricket Men’s tournament from January 3 to 12 at Raghu Engineering College, Dakamarri. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University Prof G Nageswara Rao said matches would be conducted at 10 selected grounds in Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram.
As many as 98 teams from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu states have been participating in the tournament. Over 40 officials and umpires from BCCI, Andhra Cricket Association and university would conduct the matches, the Vice-Chancellor added.
