Protest against CM’s behaviour towards MP
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) functionaries led by Kamalapuram MLA P Ravindranath Reddy staged a dharna by tying black ribbons to their mouths at Gandhi Circle here on Thursday, protesting the objectionable behaviour of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy during the fifth phase of Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme organised at Pulivendula town on Wednesday.
Kadapa: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) functionaries led by Kamalapuram MLA P Ravindranath Reddy staged a dharna by tying black ribbons to their mouths at Gandhi Circle here on Thursday, protesting the objectionable behaviour of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy during the fifth phase of Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme organised at Pulivendula town on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy had allocated funds to majority irrigation projects including Gandikota and Chitravati Balancing reservoirs in the Kadapa district. More than 85 per cent of Gandikota Reservoir works were completed during the regime of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, he said and alleged that the ruling government brought disrespect to Janmabhoomi by allowing rowdy sheeters to participate n the programme.
YSRCP Kadapa MLA S B Amzath Basha has criticised District Collector T Baburao Naidu for snatching the mike from Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy when he was speaking on the stage in Janmabhoomi programme in Pulivendula town. He stated that the YSRCP would lodge a complaint to the Assembly Privilege Committee against the District Collector over the incident. He slammed the ruling government for putting the YSRCP leaders under house arrest prior to the beginning of Janmabhoomi programme.
