15 hurt in stray dog attacks
Fifteen persons were bitten by stray dogs at Gokulapadu village in Kallur mandal on Friday morning. According to sources, a pack of stray dogs roaming on the streets of the village first attacked an senior citizen. When others tried to drive them way, all the dogs at attacked the group.

Most of the victims of dog bite are children aged between 5 to 8 years besides senior citizens. While the mob was chasing the pack of stray dogs, one of the dogs entered a cattle shed and attacked cattle there. However, the villagers managed to drive away the pack. In the process, they also killed a dog.
All the injured were rushed to Kurnool general hospital in autorickshaws and 108 ambulance. However, all of the victims were discharged after treatment. The villagers alleged that no action was taken despite several complaints lodged with the department concerned on menace of stray dogs.
