6 gardens get prizes for rose display

The horticultural gardens of Rudravanam, Karaveera vanam, Rudraksha vanam, Sankara vanam, Nagavali and Bala Foundation in Balaganesh Vanam of the Srisailam Devasthanam were awarded first prizes in the rose display organised by the Rose Society, Vijayawada, as part of the Garden festival. Â
Srisailam: The horticultural gardens of Rudravanam, Karaveera vanam, Rudraksha vanam, Sankara vanam, Nagavali and Bala Foundation in Balaganesh Vanam of the Srisailam Devasthanam were awarded first prizes in the rose display organised by the Rose Society, Vijayawada, as part of the Garden festival.
S Bharat Gupta, EO of devasthanam, and I Venkat Rao, Assistant Director, Horticulture, gave away the prizes. The awards are intended to promote ‘best’ horticulture gardens. The devasthanam is taking several steps for developing its horticultural gardens, including preparation of organic fertilisers, from garbage.
