Eluru: A miscreant, who tried to enter a doctor’s residence in Bhimavaram on Saturday midnight had to flee, leaving behind a petrol bomb after a dog started barking on seeing him.

According to police, Dr Rajani Biswas, a resident near Kakatiya School at Two-Town area of Bhimavaram town. On Saturday midnight, the burglar managed to climb the stairs of the flat and attempted to enter the doctor’s flat. Meanwhile, the dog, which was wandering in the corridor, started barking on seeing the stranger. As a result, the miscreant fled the scene.

Dr Rajani lodged a complaint with the Two Town police. Based on the complaint, Sub-Inspector of Police Kalicharan registered a case and reached the flat and examined the CCTV footage. He said they would nab the culprit soon.
