MLA launches 5-K Run
Running is essential to all to maintain good health and physique, said Tirupati MLA Suguna on Sunday here. The MLA inaugurated the 5-k Run organised by the Municipal Corporation Tirupati (MCT) as part Swachh Tirupati programme.
Tirupati : Running is essential to all to maintain good health and physique, said Tirupati MLA Suguna on Sunday here. The MLA inaugurated the 5-k Run organised by the Municipal Corporation Tirupati (MCT) as part Swachh Tirupati programme.
MLA Suguna, addressing the gathering on the occasion, has said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is taking steps for improving the sports facilities to encourage youth in sports and games. Now, Tirupati is a growing in all fields. As part of Smart City project, sports infrastructure of international standards would be set up in the city, she said.
Municipal Corporation chief Ch Harikiran has said that shortly MCT is going to organise happy Sundays and other sports and cultural events for recreation citizens.
SV University students bagged top three prizes in the 5-k Run in male category and Sri Padmavathi University students won the first, second and third prizes in female category. TUDA chairman Narasimha Yadav, Additional commissioner Sridevi, TDP health wing president Dr Ralapalli Sudharani and students from various colleges participated in the run.
