Vijayawada: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials began probe into the fake documents created by one person to grab 5,400 square yards site at Gunadala.

The CID police received a complaint from the site owner that one person had created forgery documents in sub-registrar office in Vijayawada to seize the land in Gunadala area. Based on a complaint, officials verified the land survey number and documents in Vijayawada and noticed that fake documents were created by the accused, who was claiming that his name was Rama Rao.

The culprit also filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court claiming that the original documents of the property were destroyed during the agitation took place after the killing of MLA Ranga in Vijayawada more than 25 years ago. The CID officials briefing the media in Mangalagiri on Tuesday said they began hunt to detain the culprit who created fake documents to encroach 5,400 square yards site.

Officials also said that the accused also applied for building plan in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation with the fake documents for the construction of a building. The CID officials said they had begun hunt to nab the accused.
