Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and IT Nara Lokesh assured setting up of an IT Park in Nellore. He said the Park would be established in the district by the end of 2019. It will provide employment opportunities to around 2,000 youth.

Lokesh along with Ministers Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and P Narayana inspected progress of construction of houses under ‘Housing For all Scheme’ at Janardhan Reddy Colony here on Monday.
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana explained about the shear-wall technology used for construction of houses to Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and IT Minister Lokesh. Further, Lokesh along with Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy interacted with beneficiaries at the site. Lokesh enquired with the beneficiaries over the quality of houses.
Addressing a meeting on the occasion, Panchayat Raj and IT Minister informed that they would provide 2 lakh jobs to the youth by 2019 in mobile phone manufacturing unit and also in electronics sector. Eight companies are planning to open their units in Amaravati, he added.
Lokesh praised Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana for constructing houses with shear-wall technology which ensures a long life for the structures. He also explained that they would provide education and employment to the people who reside in the area. Government would provide roads, drinking water, drainage and sanitation facility in the colony, he said.
Government has been constructing the houses with shear-wall technology also at Peddapuram in East Godavari district, the Minister pointed out.
Municipal Administration Minister Narayana said that they had completed construction of 10 per cent houses till now.
He assured that they would complete construction of 6,81,000 houses in the State soon and hand them over to the poor. Mayor Sk. Abdul Aziz, NUDA Chairman K Srinivasulu Reddy, Collector R Mutyala Raju, Municipal Commissioner Alim Basha, Nellore RDO D Haritha, former legislators A Prabhakar Reddy and others were present.
