Maapantalu-Maavantalu contest on Jan 11
The Tourism and Culture Department will organise competitions in the name of Maapantalu - Maavantalu on January 11 with regard to the ongoing Janmabhoomi. The competitions will be conducted for mandal level winners and final winners will be given awards on Ugadi by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Vijayawada: The Tourism and Culture Department will organise competitions in the name of Maapantalu - Maavantalu on January 11 with regard to the ongoing Janmabhoomi. The competitions will be conducted for mandal level winners and final winners will be given awards on Ugadi by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The Tourism and Culture Department has taken initiation to organise the competitions with a view to involve more number of women in the programmes following suggestions from Chief Minister. Tourism Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena has directed the officials to make arrangements to organise competitions which will be held in three events - preparing of breakfast, lunch and also making of sweets.
The participants should arrange required groceries and cooking materials. The Mandal Parishad Development Officers will provide facilities for displaying the dishes. The main aim of programme is to find out and give exposure for popular local dishes.
