Ravikumar appointed to governing council of Association of Indian Universities
SVIMS Director-cum-Vice-Chancellor Prof TS Ravikumar has been appointed as governing council member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Tirupati: SVIMS Director-cum-Vice-Chancellor Prof TS Ravikumar has been appointed as governing council member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
In this role, Prof Ravikumar is expected to play an active part in its deliberations as it pertains to health sciences including education, research and recommendations for the future development. On his appointment, Dr Ravikumar thanked AIU President Prof PB Sharma.
During the recent round-table conference held at SVIMS, Prof Sharma mentioned that he would work with the AIU Secretary General (who is also the convener of the AIU round-table) and the Organising Secretary of the AIU round-table to set up a meeting to form task forces on the medical education and curriculum innovation; regulatory reforms in medical education and research.
Under the directive from the AIU, Prof Ravikumar hopes to engage all Vice-Chancellors and Deans of health universities as co-equals and colleagues for moving the agenda forward on behalf of the AIU.
