Amaravati: Around 10 lakh grievances were received during the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru (JBMV) programme by Tuesday, announced Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a teleconference on Wednesday.

He said that nearly 2.5 lakh grievances were solved and the remaining were pending. The officials uploaded only six lakh grievances till now and the remaining will be uploaded, he added.

The JBMV created awareness among people on the welfare schemes and developmental activities initiated by the state government, Naidu observed.

Thanks to the welfare schemes and developmental activities taken up by the government in the last three years, there was a positive impact on the poor and marginalised sections in the state, he said adding that there was an improvement in reducing financial imbalances in the state between poor and rich.

Naidu directed districts collectors to provide pensions to four lakh new eligible candidates in the state in this JBMV. He suggested encouragement to the villages and wards by giving best village, best wards, best mandal and best urban areas awards.

Students must visit their villages at least once in a month and discuss the development of their respective villages, the Chief Minister opined. State should become a food bowl to the world and agriculture should be encouraged in such a manner, he told agriculture department officials.
